Description: Methylcobalamin (vitamin B12) is a water-soluble vitamin found in foods such as meat, dairy, fish, eggs, and poultry. It is also present in some mushrooms. Methylcobalamin is an essential cofactor for many enzymes involved in DNA synthesis and methylation reactions. It is also required for the production of red blood cells and myelin sheaths around nerves. Methylcobalamin is also known as cyanocobalamin.
